OK, done. I still think it's because of your scanner. And I suggest a test to it. TOXPG, p. 288-289. It was pressed a little, I just put a book above the PG. Then I've took a pic. Then the pages were scanned in 150 dpi. Look at the result. If your scanner fails do the same or similarly, it would mean that it just can't do a good scan irrespective of your efforts.
